For those who do not want to go radical with performance tuning such as 47mm or 51mm, but fancy a little more grunt, there is a 63cc cylinder kit with noticeably better drive than the 50cc original. This cylinder kit will iron out holes in the drive as well as on inclines. Kit includes cylinder, piston, piston ring set, oil scraper rings, gudgeon pin, gaskets and circlips. This is a drop in cylinder kit, no crank case modifications are needed for the upgrade. Install in SYM or Peugeot 4T 50cc engines listed on the application listings. Fits SYM and Lance Scooters with 1P37QMA and 1P37QMB engines. Item NK101.65

This 63cc cylinder kit comes with special piston. The piston has a molybdenum friction-reducing coating on the piston skirt for the run-in period and 2 CNC-machined oil grooves to stabilize the oil coverage. Lubrication of the gudgeon pin is taken straight out of motorsport and is aided by additional oil holes and grooves. Also suitable for other scooters with new SYM 4-stroke engines (bore/stroke: 37x46mm) e.g.:
